Heath Week is a week-long celebration of East Devon’s heaths. Engaging the local community in wildlife, history and getting active in the outdoors.
For all ages, engage with nature and learn about the amazing landscape on your doorstep. Heath Week encourages responsible use and helps inspire everyone to enjoy, value and protect the Heathlands of East Devon.
The week promotes local awareness of one of East Devon’s most biologically unique and threatened landscapes amongst the UK’s rarest habitats. East Devon supports some of the best remaining examples of this cultural and species-rich habitat in the UK, with the Pebblebed Heaths one of the characteristic features of the district.
Heath Week is delivered through four key partners: the Devon Wildlife Trust, RSPB, East Devon Pebblebed Heaths Conservation Trust and Wild East Devon.
The family festival day will be on Sunday 28 July at Woodbury Castle. Find out more about wildlife organisation in the local area, take part in talks, walks and activities for the whole family.
We offer a broad range of events which appeal to those interested in wildlife, culture, sporting activities, catering for a range of audiences, ages and interests.
